Frequently Asked Questions
How does distance learning work?
A. Distance learning offers access and choice to learners of any age and ability.
Therefore, it is up to you when and how you learn. Most adult learners want the
flexibility to be able to control their learning so as to cope with other demands
in their lives. It also allows people to overcome traditional barriers to learning,
such as people at home with small children or those who are in full-time paid
employment.
Are the courses tutor supported?
A. Yes, most of the courses are tutor supported even though they are
self study courses.
When can I start the course?
A. You can start the course at any time we do not have any set enrolment dates.
Is the course work done on line or sent via the internet?
A. No, the courses come on CD-ROM so the work is done off-line using your
PC. Assignments are in the course manuals so there are no online costs
incurred.
How long do the courses take?
A. You progress at your own pace so you set the time it takes to complete a
course.
Why are your courses cheaper than the large companies?
A. We do not send sales people to your house and our overheads
are much lower. Some of the top companies provide exactly the same materials
as we do and even with classroom led training you still have to study at home
before attending the centres, we just deliver the classroom to you and provide
support when you need it.
