CompTIA A+ Certification ( 50 hours)(2003 syllabus)A+ Certification is a testing program sponsored by CompTIA that certifies the competency of entry-level service technicians in the computer industry. Anyone who wants an internationally recognise credential as a competent entry-level computer service professional can take the A+ examination. Major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers and publications back the program. Earning A+ certification means that the individual possesses the knowledge and skills essential for a successful entry-level computer service technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry. The test covers a broad range of hardware and software technologies, but is not related to any vendor-specific products. Two exams are taken to become certified - the Core Hardware and the Operating Systems Technologies exams. When both the Core and the Operating Systems exams are passed within 90 calendar days, the candidate receives the A+ designation. Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) The MCDST is an entry-level credential, demonstrating that an individual has gained the core knowledge necessary to troubleshoot hardware or software operation and application problems for end users on the desktop or client-side, based on the Windows desktop operating system. The MCDST certification covers the skills of help desk technician, customer support representative, PC support specialist, technical support representative, and technical support specialists. Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
This course teaches students how to use the Office 2000 suite of applications and become more effective on the job. This course provides training for beginners, as well as advanced users and covers Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. An additional module covering FrontPage also introduces the student to the basics of web design. Web Design
i-Net+ certification is vendor-neutral and will validate an individual's baseline knowledge of Internet concepts. The exam is designed to validate that Internet technical professionals have the skills to implement and maintain Internet, intranet, and extranet infrastructure and services as well as develop related applications. People just entering the Internet industry, career changers, and those who wish to advance their careers are the audience for this certification. This is a pre-requisite for the Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) series of certifications
Web Site Manager (CIW Designer)
This curriculum introduces Web design concepts, page layout, usability, navigation, graphics and multimedia. Other topics covered include Web technologies, Web site development tools, basics of using Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Allaire HomeSite, JASC Paint Shop, in addition to advanced Web design technologies and concepts, including XML, HTTP servers, cookies, plug-ins, Java applets, databases and standards organizations. This course leads on to the CIW e-Commerce course that will gain a student the Master Web Site Designer qualification
Networking
The introductory part of this course prepares the student for the A+. The student will gain a thorough understanding of how a PC works, even if you have never seen one before. On passing this stage, you’ll not only know your PC inside out, you’ll even be able to build your own as well as being able to diagnose and repair any problems that come up. The A+ certification certifies the competency of entry-level technicians in the computer industry. The A+ is internationally recognised and means that the individual possesses the knowledge and skills essential for a computer service technician.
MCSA 2000/MCSE 2000 (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
The premier certification for networking professionals, the MCSE is for those students that wish to effectively plan, implement, maintain and support information systems in a wide range of computing environments using the Microsoft Windows NT Server and Microsoft BackOffice integrated family of server products. A pre-requisite for this course is A+ or equivalent certification or at least one years networking experience.
The Complete CCNA 2.0 Curriculum includes all of the courses needed to help prepare learners for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. It is comprised of the Cisco Internetworking Technologies and Cisco Internetworking Network Devices curricula. It is designed to enable individuals that are new to networking technologies to understand the terms, concepts, technologies, and devices commonly used in networking, and then apply that new knowledge to the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Cisco switches and routers.

The CompTIA Linux+ certification is a new standard of competency for technicians with six-months experience installing, operating and maintaining Linux operating systems
The Linux+ certification validates technical competency and provides a broad awareness of Linux operating systems. Those holding Linux+ certification demonstrate critical knowledge of installation, operation, administration and troubleshooting services. The demand for skilled Linux support professionals has grown significantly and candidates as well as the industry have indicated that a foundation-level certification for this job function is necessary

The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator is specifically for professional who implement and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases.
